POE-S1081T, 8 Port 10/100Mbps PoE Switch, which compliance with IEEE802.3at protocol standard and IEEE802.3af and IEEE802.3at compatible PoE terminal Powered Device (PD). Base on this protocol principle , there is always a detection before PoE Power Source Equipemnt (PSE) power up the PD regularly. The POE PSE will detect the validity of the connected Powered Device which judge and figure out whether the terminal PD is PoE-Enable or PoE-Disable device, then decide supplying the power or not. So, there will be no damage of any device involved. Even the terminal PD is disconnected, broken or shortcut, the PoE PSE will automatically stop supplying the power to it. It's power supply transmission distance up to 100 meters.
PoE Switch provide power to PD over a single Ethernet cable (cat5. cat5e, cat6, etc.) which along with data transmission instead of transmitting by electric wire and network cable separately, and there is no place limitation for installation. So it's going to save a lot of cost of cable and installing results from the convenience of PoE Plug and Play flexible design. So, POE-S1081T is a good choice for users who is desire to install PoE PD such as CCTV IP Network Camera, Wireless Access Point (AP), VoIP Phone, etc.
